Barb! Be ware, all four of my kids love/ed Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!! But for some reason, my fourth child loves the book. She actually learned all the letters of the alphabet from this book!! So, at least it was like a 3 for 1 deal.

I borrowed it from the public library for her, then I had to buy the book and the movie!!

My 10 yr old daughter and I are finishing Lemony Snicket's The Slippery Slope It's the 10th book in the A Series of Unfortunate Events series. We're both sad to be caught up with all the books in the story. They're such absolutely fun books!

bumping it up!!

My DD, 13yo, LOVES Nancy Drew. A few years back she was really enjoying the Nancy Drew Notebooks. She also has been enjoying some of the "Classics" like Jane Eyre, Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde and Wuthering Heights.

DS, 10yo, just loves Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey. If you have a boy, these are great books!!

Sorry for the b2b but I figure 6 months is time for replies!!

Ds, now 11 1/2, has been enjoying the series by Christopher P A Maselli about a boy who gets a Laptop and uses it in amazing ways. The laptop is able to do whatever the boy types into it, so you can imagine there are soem amazing scarpes in it!!

A great series. If anyone else had read these, ds would love to chat about them.

My children like the Nancy Drew books. Hardy Boys books. Also The Magic Treehouse books. Also the Boxcar Children books. My son has read Captain Underpants too. My kids also like the Junie B. Jones books. My son likes funny books too. My son likes to read more than my daughter. He reads everyday and has always enjoyed reading alot.

These stories sound like something my son would like to read---if they arent too old for him. Im going to check to see if our library carries any of them and then if not, I will check the bookstore when we go there the next time.

Thanks Meg!

I had to look back.....I thought that I had replied to this thread before but I guess not.

When my son started reading, he really loved Mercer Mayer books. He also really liked the Berenstain Bear books.

Since last year, he has been reading The A to Z Mystery Books. He is into reading books that have had movies made after them. He just read the Cars movie book but has yet to see the movie.

Both of my kids loved The Runaway Bunny when they were little (and still today )

Meg, I need your help, please. I have Googled the author that you mention above but I cant find him anywhere. Can you give me the title to one of the books or help me?

Thanks!
Tami

By scarpes, I think I meant escapes or perhaps scrapes? Not really sure! LOL

OK the first book is called Reality Shift. We got it through our Christian bookshop.
