I just finished Not quite Dating by Catherine Bybee
Waitress and single mom Jessica “Jessie” Mann is practical to a fault. Even if she had time to date, which she doesn’t, she’d be determined to provide her son with a more secure upbringing than the one she had—and that would mean a husband with big bucks. When Jack Morrison—a sexy-as-sin, seemingly broke customer with a cowboy hat and a seductive grin—tries to flirt with her, she shoots him down. She doubts a carefree dreamer like Jack can provide the financial stability she needs. Yet with Christmas just weeks away, and Jessie not wanting to spend it alone, the charming Texan is proving hard to resistt.
Of course he is a billionaire in disguise, a cute light read. I joined the Kindle Unlimited so the next one in the series is free to borrow. I read a lot of series so far It is worth my while to join

Any book of your choice is the winner again~

Maybe we should have our book club just be that, our choice every month?

I will be reading books by Mary Higgins Clark, and her daughter, Carol Higgins Clark. These mysteries are light reading, and I am enjoying them.

I finished reading "Chandler's Daughter" by Truly Donovan.

Deadly Reunion...A midnight call from a terrified friend puts Boulder software consultant Lexy Conner on the dangerous end of an old mystery. Tally Richard's life is in danger. But the only person with information is murdered before she can revel a dark secret. With her adoptive parents dead, Tally turns to Lexy who discovers she's already unwittingly involved: she finds an old ring bearing a vital clue to Tally's real identity.

The intricate mystery takes Lexy on a search that sweeps from Colorado to sunny California to her native New York, into a twisted case of buried identities and treacherous manipulation. The shocking truth goes back thirty years, to a fatal car crash, a cruel conspiracy and a legacy as astonishing as it is dangerous. For now, both Lexy and Tally are the object of a killer determined to ensure a long-realized scheme falls neatly-- and murderously -- into place.

I found it to hold my interest to the very end of the book. You need to read the book to see if Tally survives and finds out who she really is.

I am finishing Assassin's Quest by Robin Hobb. It's the 3rd book in the Trilogy and just as action packed as the first two. I've enjoyed Fitz Chivalry's tale and kind of bummed it's almost over!!

I read The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks and did not like it as well as the movie. Of course, it is a romance and goes back and forth through the years as to whether or not Allie will choose to marry Noah despite her mother's being against it. I'm not big on romance novels but thought since it had been a movie it would be more interesting. I found some parts a little too smutty for my taste and was disappointed. At least it was a quick read.
