I am going to read the Widow of Larkspur Inn by Lawana Blackwell. A story about a lady who moves from London to a village and tries to make a new home for her 3 children.

I'll have to check my e-library shelves and see if a mom/mother book exsits or a synopses with mom/mother b4 I seek other possibilities.

I checked the library and most of them were instruction books on different things for mothers but I did find a book at the dollar store called A Remarkable Mother by Jimmy Carter so am going to read that.

Sharon I read that book and enjoyed it. I believe it has 2 books after that.Enjoy!
I just finished The Apple Orchard, Tess,29 ,is a typical career woman the product of a single mom. You find out her mom is a driven career woman & she knows nothing about her father or his family. It starts as she is returning an $80,000. Necklace to a WW2 survivor from Denmark. The next thing is a lawyer comes & tells her her paternal grandfather has had an accident & her is needed to make decision on to take him off life support & she has a half sister she never met. She cannot get a hold of her mom ,as usual, for any information. The book tells of her trip to meet her half sister & discover her history & it involves a mystery as well as a romance with the banker.. It is also about her relationship with her mother & not wanting to end up alone & distant like her. It was very good

My "mom book" to read is "Heft" by Liz Moore. I am about 3/4 done and find it is one of those books you cannot put down because you have no idea how it is going to end!!!

It centers around a mom named Charlene, her son and her unlikely friendship with Arthur Opp who weighs in at 550 pounds......a very interesting read!!!!!

hugs, train
