Birthday in a Box
I have a business idea rolling around in my head and would love your input. Would you, as a busy mom, be interested in a renting a "Birthday Box" for your child's birthday? The boxes would be themed and would be complete with everything you need for your child's birthday party. For example, if you chose a pirate themed box it would include all the decorations, game ideas and anything needed to play them, dress-up items for the children, partyware, favors, etc., etc. All you would have to do is open the box and let the fun begin! Does this sound like something you would be interested in? Please, I would love your honest feedback.
Blessings,
Angela

I think this sounds like an excelllent idea.
Would you be able to pick and choose what goes into the box or would it be one standard kit?
I know that something like this, if affordable, would make my life easier!

Hi Tami,
I was thinking maybe having several options - basic to deluxe so to speak, with the deluxe including everything. I would want to make it affordable for the average family, but also offer a supreme package for those who could afford it. I'm still just kicking around ideas. Thanks for your feedback! I'll let you know if anything comes of it!
Blessings,
Angela

What a fabulous idea. This would truly make life easier.
I am not sure what exactly you are thinking for the boxes, but the party supplies, game ideas and necessary pieces to accompany the games would be terrific.
I think different options would be good. Some people may only want the party supplies (napkins, plates, cups) others would want the matching decorations, other want relevant games, other want relevant prizes for the games.... the list goes on.
Keep brainstorming and good luck!

Good Luck

Sounds like a great idea to me, I especially like the different levels of boxes available too. I would offer the suggestion that you include the goodie bags or prizes also so that the parents won't have to worry about that aspect. Maybe with the service you could also offer for another small fee to help with the decorations & set up process. Sometimes between cleaning my house up & decorating it's a close call!

Is this somthing anyone can order online for your state or all of the US or maybe something just local?
Would postage be included or an added extra when ordering depending on where it's going?
Sorry postage is just a pet thing that I like to know about not being in the US myself.

Thanks for the input!
Thanks for the input ladies! It helps to get feedback from those who might want to rent something such as this. I figured the first item of business was to see if there is even a market for such a service. Sounds like it has merit!
Bilby, I was thinking this would be just a local business...people can rent the boxes, I will drop them off/pick them up at their home. Since not all of the items would be consumable (ie: dress up items, etc.), the boxes will be returned and some items re-used - tea sets, toys, etc). Then I can re-stock them with the consumables and they're ready to go again.
Thanks again for your ideas. If you have anymore feeback, please let me know. I will keep you updated on what I decide.
Blessings,
Angela

Just keep in mind when re-using things the health dept. has very strict codes for washing & sanitizing these things! Usually using bleach on everything.
