Need Gift Idea for 40th Bday

My sister-in-law just informed me that she is throwing her fiance a suprise 40th Birthday Party in a few weeks. Other than gag-gifts, what can you get a guy who is 40. I dont know of any interests he has (other than drinking beer HAHA). He is an airplane machanic (I think). They have a house and a puppy (if that helps).
TIA
Kim

Hi Kim

My husband is a mechanic as well. If you can find out what kind of tools that he uses, get him a gift certificate to buy something that way. I say a gift certificate because they need special tools for the planes and men...well, they are so picky about thier tools! My DH buys a few tools at Sears so that might work. Other than that, we spend oodles on special ordered tools for him.

If he likes to work around the home, how about a gift card from Home Depot? Is he picky about his car? You could make up a car detailing gift basket.

Does he like any sports? You could make up a gift basket for a day "with the guys" to watch sports ( Nascar racing is about to start -for example)....include some snacks, beer and momento of his favorite driver, team .....

One thing that we bought that my DH really loves is an all-weather American flag that hangs on our porch.

You could always go the adult gift basket way and fill it with things that they could enjoy together! ;-)

Just a few ideas......Hope they help!

Tami
