Thumbs up Cherry Cheese Brownies

Cherry Cheese Brownies

1 pkg (14oz) VIP Dark Sweet Cherries (frozen)
1 pkg (15oz) brownie mix
2 eggs,divided
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 (3oz) cream cheese, softened
2 TBSP sugar
3/4 cup coconut flakes ( I didn't use these)
1 tsp almond extract
1/2 cup water

Place cherries in a bowl to thaw, add 1/2 cup water. After thawed drain and reserve liquid. With a spoon combine brownie mix, 1 egg,oil and reserved cherry liquid, mix thoroughly. Reserve 9 cherries for garnish,if desired. Gently stir remaining cherries into brownie mixture;set aside. Combine cream cheese and sugar;mix well. Beat remaining egg and stir into cream cheese mixutre with coconut and almond extract. Spoon into a greased 9-inch square baking pan, alternating with brownie mixture. Swirl mixtures together slightly and place cherries on top. Bake at 375*F for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Thumbs up This recipe has won a Blue Ribbon

Seleach has given this recipe a Blue Ribbon.

Easy to make. I did use the coconut as we do like it.
Dh doesn't care much for brownies but he did like this. Maybe because he likes cream cheese, coconut and cherries?
I will be making it again.

Congrats mommy2monkeys!!
