Barbecues & Grilling Summertime is not the only time for this very popular form of cooking. Some people simply won't eat steak or ribs that are not cooked on the grill!

Mexican Steak

This recipe was originally posted in What's for Dinner August 2008 by craftchick:

Mexican Steak

lean steaks, trim off fat
(any type of steak you like)
3 valencia oranges
4 garlic cloves
1 small onion (any type)
1T. salt
1/4 C. teriyaki sauce
2T. worchestershire sauce
1T. Lemon pepper
1 Lime

(put in a deep container with a lid) (I use a large rectangle tupperware).
Rub in all the dry ingredients,
Mix in a separate bowl garlic, juice of 2 oranges, 1 lime, teriyaki sauce, worchestershire sauce and salt. Mix and pour over the meat.
Slice 1 orange into 1/4 inch slices, slice onion into rings, spread on top of the meat. Cover your container and shake around, refrigerate for about 1 hour and grill. Yummy!

This recipe has earned the Blue Ribbon Award!

My family really enjoyed this way to prepare steak. The marinade was easy to make and the steak tasted delicious.

I didn't have any teriyaki sauce so I used 1/4 cup soy sauce and 2 TBL brown sugar instead.
