Recipes With Papayas?

Now that I have my own papaya tree have been wondering what every ones favorite recipe is? Added it today in my smoothie ripe was delicious. Have been even using it green as coleslaw and baked around chicken with carrots. Such a healthy fruit hate to waste a bite.

Made a cake tonight with fruit in it. Always blend a piece of ripe papaya to give it a sweet taste plus good for digestion.

I've only ever used it as sweetened and dried as a snack. It wasn't until Sueanne's been posting about it that I thought of it as a regular food item. And then I had a green papaya thai salad and it was so good, crispy thin strips of it, not quite sweet but the dressing was a thin sugar and vinegar dressing and it was very good. No lingering aftertaste, good crunch, and sweet but not cloyingly sweet like dessert, but like a nice refreshing salad.

I wish our grocery store stocked green papaya. I could check with the Asian groceries in our area.

here is a link to a recipe for Thai Green Papaya Salad:
