How many people still use their Turbo Cooker?

Been quite a few years since the turbo cooker came out on TV. Was wondering how many still has theirs? Could always find them at thrift stores cheap if you needed an extra one. Have not seen any for a long time even at garage sales. Would be fun to see how many survived wear and tear over the years. I still have one of mine since 2002.

I have three and use them, but actually had them on the top shelf in my small appliance shelves and hadn't used them in awhile. Now that the cooler weather is here I'll use them more often. I purchased all three of mine at thrift stores and just recently found two more at another thrift store that still had all the recipe cards and directions in them! But since they want $29.99 for each I can't justify paying that much just to get the cards. Anxious to see how long they stay there because I don't think anyone that doesn't already have one will have a clue on how nice they are to cook in.

Sueanne, do you remember anyone else here that had one? I know you are the one that got me interested in finding one reading all about all you use to cook in it!

try craigs list wanted ads and maybe someone will be willing to share their cookbook, there are some for sale but across the country and again more than the price you listed.

The two I saw were at a thrift store not new, and actually one of the pricier thrift stores. I just won't pay that much just for the cards. I get several regular recipes online, but there are a couple that were originally on those cards I would love to get my hands on! lol

What do they look like? I've tried doing a Google search and it came up with barbeques.

Turbo Cooker Selection Of Pots In Sets.

www.turbocooker.com
Here is the website that shows you what it looks like. I have had mine for years and love it. Have a few that I picked up at Goodwill but the finish on this one is the best. My friend only used it once and she gave it to me for nothing because she knew I would use it. Looks like they have added more pieces to the sets.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the link Sueanne. So it was an "As seen on TV" product? It sounds like you get a lot of use out of yours. I wonder why it didn't go over. I am going to watch the thrift stores here for them now that I know what to look for.

Happy Mothers Day!

Are these sold at thrift stores as a set, or are you all picking up one piece at a time?

Please let me know. Norma

Norma, I found my first one at a thrift store and my second one at another "junk" type store. The third one which is the turbo grill I found at another thrift store! Too much money for me to spend at the site that I guess still sells them. THey cook wonderful though and just glad I found them at a thrift store. Mine were never used so probably someone bought them and when they passed whoever cleared out their belongings donated them to a thrift store. None of the places that had them had any idea of what they were! I paid $5, $10 and $15 for the one that even had all the recipe cards with it! The recipes are copyrighted so hard to get those original ones that came on cards with the pans. Several sites offer other recipes and some times you will find one of those original ones too!
