What Do You Like On Your Hot Dog?
Over the years I have come to realize that most people are very picky when it comes to topping their hotdogs. I know that I am !!
I like either ketchup ( I prefer Heinz) and onions or chili and cheese.
Here in my area it is very popular to eat chili and slaw on a dog----I wont even tell you what I think of that but YUCK cant describe it.
Soooo....How do you like your hotdogs???

I am kinda boring when it comes to hot dogs.
I like either mustard (not very much!) or chili....but not both at the same time!
And, I prefer a whole wheat or whole grain bun.

What I like on my hotdog depends what we are having with it.
I like ketchup, bakedbeans, hotsuace, mac & cheese, relish, cheese
and pickles.

If I have stadium mustard I use just that, if not I put reg.musturd and ketchup!
Chili dogs are pretty tasty though!
Have any of you ever bought Nathans? They are a little pricier but YUMMO!
I even have chili dogs on my menu for next Monday since that Sunday will start football season I will make a big pot! (pleas from dh) What a great way to use up leftovers!

On a Brownberry whole wheat bun with brown (horseradish mustard, NOT dijon!), if at the ball game, just good ole yellow mustard. Pretty boring, but good.

Being from and living in the Chicago area, there is only one way to have a hotdog: first it has to be an all-beef kosher hotdog, then it's topped with mustard (never ketchup - if you ask for ketchup on your hotdog at a Chicago-area hotdog stand, they'd probably kick you out, lol!!), onions, relish, tomato, pickle and hot peppers if you want them - all on a steamed bun.

Hot Dogs My Way
Melanie, I will be in Chicago next April and I plan to try the "Chicago Dog". They sound delicious!
Otherwise, I use Nathan's hot dogs, Pepperidge Farm top split buns and top it with yellow mustard and diced white onion, or "Coney Island" chili with cheese, mustard, and onion. MMMMMM

Somebody's been watching the Foodnetwork. They have been showing the various ways diffferent parts of the country eat hotdogs. Tami, I too am from the South--originally--and I too don't really care for slaw and sourkraut (sp) on my hotdog. However, I am very particular about what type of weiner I like. I won't eat the cheap stuff. I like both the pork and the beef kind though. I like a little bit of mustard on mine, with chili, sweet pickle relish, and lots of onions. There are only 2 things in the world I will eat mustard with and that is hotdogs and corndogs. Of course, being a Native Texan--we LOVE our corndogs. Does that count as a hotdog?

I prefer a certain brand. I used to eat the kosher ones until I saw all the red (dye?) coming out of them. At home I like mustard and sweet relish on one side and ketchup and onions on the other side. If I'm out somewhere I usually just use mustard and relish. To me a hot dog and chili dog are two different things, but you're making me hungry for a chili dog. DH doesn't like them so we usually just have the boring hot dogs.
