Spring Cleaning

Do you do spring cleaning? If you do what do you clean/organize that you don't do on a normal cleaning?

We have a wood burning stove in our familyroom. This really makes my curtains in that room and my diningroom very dirty.

I take one nice day and wash all my curtains in my house and hang them out to dry. So I even iron and put back up. I wipe off walls, windows and ceiling. Another day I do the whole kitchen. I have a large kitchen(38 cabinets) it takes me one day to clean that extra good and wipe off all the cabinets and wash 11 windows. I love to spring clean and the smell of an extra clean house.

Most people who know me on FC know that I am not a fan of cleaning. My mom once sent me a cute cartoon proclaiming dust as a protective coating for furniture. This does not mean that I live in filth. I do clean my house---I just don't like it! LOL!!!
Cleaning for me is more of an on-going process and I really don't do "Spring Cleaning"
I do wash some window when the weather get nice to get rid of the crude left there by the snow during the winter.

I clean out closets, cabinets, drawers..... sort through all the items and clean. I wash curtains every three or four months. For spring and fall cleaning I get in the corners, clean the walls and ceilings.

The one thing that I absolutely do, is move refrigerator to clean behind, underneath and the coils. Other things I move is washer, dryer, dressers, chest of drawers and anything else that is up against walls...just the thoughts of cobwebs behind these, drives me nuts!

I pull out the fridge and anything else that I can pull out and clean under.

I wash everything in the curio cabinets and clean sterling silver items.

Wash windows and blinds, curtains and so on.

I cheated my start of spring cleaning this year. I hired a service to do all of my windows and screens! LOVELY! Totally motivated me to keep going! My garage must be gutted and soon!
