Deep Fried Pickles w/ Dip Sauce.......

  • DEEP FRIED PICKLES W/ HONEY MUSTARD DIPPING SAUCE.....

    SAUCE:
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1/4 cup dijon mustard
    1/4 cup mayo
    2 TBSP. honey

    PICKLES:
    vege oil for frying
    1/2 cup all purpose flour
    2 large eggs, beaten
    1/2 cup cornmeal
    salt
    pepper
    48 slices bread and butter pickles

    For the sauce, in small bowl combine all ingredients and place in refrigerator until ready to serve.

    For the pickles, in heavy pot heat 2 inches oil to 350. Put flour in 1 bowl, eggs in second bowl, and cornmeal in third bowl. Season the flour and cornmeal with salt and pepper. Dip pickles in flour, eggs, and then dredge into cornmeal. Lay on baking sheet. When all are coated fry in batches in hot oil about 30 seconds then using a slotted spoon trasnfer them to a paper towel lines plate to drain. Serve pickles while hot with honey mustard sauce.

  • Pickle Dipping Sauce
    For a little kick to the sauce add cream style prepared horseradish, it doesn't take much. I like mine hot..add a little and taste.
