Cabbage Noodle Salad

This was a very different way of adding noodle to cabbage. Will work great at any event since there is no mayonaise in the mix.

Ingredients for dressing:

3 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoon vinegar

2 tablespoon sugar

1/2 ramen noodle seasoning package

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce

Ingredients for salad:

1 small head red or green cabbage (or 1/2 of each)

2 green onions, chopped

1 carrot, peeled and grated

1 package ramen noodles, crushed

1. Make dressing by combining ingredients in a large bowl. Stir to dissolve sugar.

2. Combine the first three salad ingredients, toss well. Add crushed ramen noodles and dressing to salad and toss again.

3. Serve right away or cover and refrigerate to allow the flavors to blend.

Serves 6.

Thank You Everyone for the Congrats.
I love salads so thought everyone would love this variation of Ramen Noodles. They are a great buy and can be used in so many different recipes.

Sorry it has taken me soo long 2 post about this.

This recipe has actually been made 3 times so far and all 3 times it has goten great comments from people. I made a few "adjustments" and they r as follows.........
used Extra Virgin Olive Oil
shrimp flavor noodles
added 1 tsp. celery seed
used both cabbages
1 vadalia onion
sprinkled with fancy shreeded mexican cheese blend right before serving

Well worth the few minutes it takes to throw this salad together!!!!
