Sausage Stars

I shared this recipe with my sister. She made them for a party she went to at her SIL's house. They were a hit!

Sausage Stars

2 cups (1 pound) cooked, and crumbled breakfast sausage
1 1/2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups grated Monterrey jack cheese
1 cup prepared Hidden Valley Ranch Original dressing mix
1 Can (2.25 ounce) sliced ripe black olives
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1 pkg wonton wrappers or egg roll wrappers; cut into 4 squares
vegetable oil

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.
Drain sausage well and blot dry.
Combine sausage with cheeses,
dressing mix, olives and bell
pepper, mix well. Lightly grease
mini muffin pans and press 1
wrapper square into each cup to
form a sort of star shape, you
will have to crease it some. Brush
wrapper with oil. Bake for 4 to 5
minutes, until lightly golden around
the edges. Remove from tins. Place
wrappers on baking sheet and fill
each with sausage mixture. Bake
for 5 minutes or until bubbly and
cheese is melted.
Makes 4 to 5 dozen stars.
These are best served warm, but
they are great at room temp also.
