I have a recipe for Coney Island Hot Dog Chili.

I have to run out for a few hours but when I return I will post it for you.

I make a batch and then seperate it into containers and freeze it. It is SO good.

Coney Island Hot Dog Chili (Sauce)

1-1/2 pounds ground beef
3 tbl. cooking oil
1 tsp each:
  • powdered clove
  • chili powder
  • celery seeds
  • paprika
  • curry powder
  • cumin powder
3 tbl. minced onion
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups beef broth
salt and pepper to taste

brown meat with onions in the oil and incorporate all the seasonings. While cooking make sure to break and mince the meat up with a fork. Make sure it is like very course salt.. you know minced.

Pour in 2 cups of broth and simmer until 1/2 gone. then add the remaing 2 cups of broth and simmer until all the liquid is gone.

NOTE: This is very time consuming but so well worth it.

I'm looking for a substitution for Heinz chili sauce, including recipes. I used to be able to buy the American Faire chili sauce at my Super Kmart, but they discontinued it. Nothing that I've tried so far tastes close to it, including hot dog chili sauce sold at Walmart.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
