For me, it is a pleasure.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

both, but I still enjoy doing it.
only reason it a midmare, for I'm not sure what they would want, some of the ones are on the list is easy.. Like the 2 gd's they are 12 and 13, and I figure since one is a cheerleader and likes to use makeup for it, and the other one loves to be all girly. LOL, so I'm building up a beauty package for them.
I have a son who ... won't go there, but I barely know his little girl.. when I asked him what she wanted or needed, the list contain no toys of any kind.. just clothes, I told him I had no idea what size she is.. I only saw her once this yr... so buying for her will be a nightmare due to not knowing.. my gs just wants money but don't want to do that, so thats sort of a nightmare to know what to get him that he might like.

List goes on and on.. so I will have to say a combination of both..

I kinda agree Barb, for some it is just hard. Maybe you could try a Toys r us gift certificate for you grandbaby, that way the money would be spent on her. Just a thought as I know how hard that can be.

I am almost all done. I have always loved Christmas, this year and last have been difficult, but I will perservere! No one will ruin the Christmas magic for me. I had saved enough of my own earnings (which is extremely little sigh) to buy my husband 2 really great gifts that will both suprise and excite him! I am so excited and happy, he deserves some good things this year! and I love him, so yay!
The rest is all falling into place and we just had IKEA open here last week, so I will be shopping there when it dies down some! Oooooooo IKEA!!!
We all get heavier as we get older,
because there's a lot more information in our heads.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

They mostly want clothes for the child.. SOme clothes are alright but I want to buy a toy as well.. I can'[t please them anyways.. LOL

I never know what to get for Gina & Kent as
they pretty much buy what they want when they want
something. So bad as I hate doing it I will give them
cash and others I buy for are fairly easy to do. Judy is my
easiest one. Stacie is next easiest as she needs so much.
I love buying for others
I will take what I am served knowing someone out there is being served MUCH less

We only buy for DS's and their families so not too bad any longer. I usually buy a large rubbermaid tote for each in January and then throughout the year pick up things that they either need or I think they will like. I also enclose $50 in cash for each so they can get something maybe they really need. By buying during the year it really helps keep the cost down. Close to Christmas I usually put some Christmas candy and store bought Christmas cookies in each. I make each family a 13 x 9 pan of their favorite fudge and depending on how much time I have sometimes they get a homemade cookie tray. Almost everything is things they can use for themselves or around their house or even something for one of their horses they need or cats or dogs. Then each gets either a sweat suit OR PJ's each year. So it is a pleasure now because they aren't picky and always seem to enjoy the "What did mom and dad enclose in the tote this year"!

I have a Tote I also put small things in for
ones for Christmas. Steven likes those pj pants but the
little rat is growing so fast hard to buy them early. If I get
to Walmart tomorrow with Gina will get him a pair and
she will be able to help me get right size. Already got
him an Itunes and Dominoes pizza gift card. Will put
few $ cash in with his Christmas card
I will take what I am served knowing someone out there is being served MUCH less

Christmas / Holiday Gifts pleasure and/or nightmare?
For me it is both... I enjoy giving gifts to family/friends when what is agreed upon is carried out, otherwise I could just kiss the time of year out the door and happily not care. Same with decorating
