List of baby nursery basics you started with?

OK all you frugal thrifty moms... let's post the basics we started with when we were expecting baby #1.

Here is my list of:
  • drop-side crib
  • spare crib sheets (waterproof rubber sheet)
  • hygiene care basics (nail clippers, hair brush, baby soap/shampoo, lotion, diaper rash ointment, baby powder)
  • glass and plastic baby bottles
  • cloth diapers and rubber pants
  • diaper pins
  • diaper pail
  • footed-sleepers
  • t-shirts
  • socks
  • booties
  • baby washcloths
  • diaper liners
  • bibs
  • waterproof plastic changing pad (for changing diapers on)
  • pyjamas
  • soothers
  • thermometer
  • highchair

I am going to be a first time grandma the beginning of 2017. It was fun to go through a list with my daughter.

The only different items would be:

receiving (swaddling) blankets
infant hat
diaper bag
stroller

Though I never mentioned them, I also had on hand, receiving blankets, infant hats, and a diaper bag (from the start), and for the first 6 months I used an old baby pram buggy, moving to a stroller once my daughter was older.

Going to be a grandmom in January. My young sons first. My 3rd grandchild. Bought them a crib last week.
