Thank you

I don't think my boys will let me do that no doubt.

This is where she is going (just found it out)

I know how you feel! My Big DS goes to summer camp with the Boy Scouts for a week--and DH goes with him. I don't hear from either one of them for the whole week, because there is no cell phone access in camp! I just have to go on the theory that "no news is good news" because if there were an emergency, the camp WOULD contact me. In 2 weeks I will be in your shoes.

I hope the days pass quickly for you and she has a great time!

Thanks, Deb, I'm sure he will. He has gone for a week of summer camp every summer since he was 11--so this is the 7th time (and probably the last). Then we will have a 3-year break until Luke turns 11 in 2013 and this starts all over again

Well
She is home and had an amazing time. Now she is home, I am glad she went. I spoke with her teacher today as it was parent consultation evening and she said that she had grown in confidence in that short time and she gave her all in every activity.

They did
high ropes and low ropes
absailing
wall climbing
Leap of Faith
Zip wire

Oh so much more too, so relieved she is home but so relieved that I did let her go now and my fears didn't stop her attending

Thank you for putting my mind at ease.
