Depends on where I was living. If I lived in the tropics with all the fresh fruit and veggies it would be easier. Here no way.

I have tried vegetarianism for a couple weeks and I didn't mind it at all until I got in the car one day to drive to work and my hands hurt so bad I could barely hold the steering wheel. It felt something like neuropathy which, I am diabetic and it caused me to wonder if certain meats that have the B vitamins that help with neuropathy were the cause of my pain. I have no scientific basis for it but I went back to eating meat and the pain in my hands went away.

I find a vegetarian food plan is much easier to follow than a Vegan lifestyle.

I love fresh veggies and fruit.

I do not eat Wheat.

I couldn't be 100% Vegetarian because of my love affair with bacon and wouldn't give up blt's. But I could be 90-95% using eggs & dairy products as animal based proteins combined with the plant based proteins with the occasional serving of meat.

The most common types of vegetarians include:
  • Lacto-ovo vegetarians: Vegetarians who avoid all animal flesh, but do consume dairy and egg products.
  • Lacto vegetarians: Vegetarians who avoid animal flesh and eggs, but do consume dairy products.
  • Ovo vegetarians: Vegetarians who avoid all animal products except eggs.
  • Vegans: Vegetarians who avoid all animal and animal-derived products.

I love veggies of all kinds they are the main part of my meals. Try to eat only a deck size of meats, fish & poultry. Grow Figs & Papaya which I cook green with meat & poultry add it ripe to smoothies.
Moringa leaves is where I get my vitamins & minerals from since I grow my own trees. Feel the energy it provides & health benefits. Do like coconut milk & oil. Not saying everyone should eat what I do, our doctors agrees with what we are doing.

A vegan, here. As much as possible a gluten free vegan suits me best.

I am a Gluten Free person for the last few years.

I do eat chicken, fish or eggs, cheese, sparingly.

I also eat a lot of veggies, fresh or frozen, and some fruits.

I have to read all labels and that gets to be a pain especially since the print is way to small on the back of canned goods and boxes. lol

Back in the 70's I was a total vegetarian, and that was a good experience too.

I couldn't, but it would have been around twenty years ago, where DH and I, went on a no meat kick for a number of weeks, and we both admitted that we felt better.

We were really tight on money at the time, and although we never set-out with intentions on dropping meat from our diet, it just so happened to work out that way and to this day we still talk about how good we felt during that period.
