What are your summer plans?

What are your plans this summer, which is just around the corner? Do you plan on a vacation? Where? Do you plan on going swimming, having cook-outs, or what? We'd love to know.

We are planning a short trip to Atlanta this summer to tour the CNN studios, the Coke Factory, and the Aquarium (I'm planning on using one of those tour package deals.) Even though my dh works for an airline, my kids have never flown anywhere so we're thinking of flying there. It would be a short flight from here to there but at least they could say that they've flown.

Other than that, my son has struck up an interest in golfing so we're working on golf lessons for him at a nearby place. His goal is to join his school's golf team next year.

My daughter is going to continue swimming lessons. We're also throwing a BD party for her in May - she's decided on a bowling party at our local bowling alley instead of having it at the park. (thanks, in part, to my dh who was really worried about what we would do if it rained on that day. )

I should be broke after all of that!

I would like to take the kids to the beach this year since we haven't done that since moving to NC but because of the price of everything, I don't see that happening unless a money tree sprouts up in our backyard.

What are your plans, DeBora??

YES!!! Summer is over... I know I know.. I wish I could enjoy the summer outdoors but I can not. I have Rosacea, and it flares so bad in the heat. The best I can do in the summer is comeout at night after 7pm or have indoor water balloon fights. lol

Well, if it's as hot this summer as last, I just plan to survive and stay in the a/c. DH has a super busy summer at work so no vacation. But then we seldom take a "vacation", maybe a weekend to see my mom and stepdad, but that is about it for us. We are homebodies and getting more so every year.
