Thank you for the birthday wishes. Had so many this year.

At this age am I permitted to make a "funny"? ~~Have to forego joining your breast-feeding group!!!! (Who knows? Maybe senility is beginning to set in with me?? LOL!)

Turning 81

Blondie,

You just reminded me about my own family's story. When my grandmother had her 81st birthday (and she is still going strong by the way) she informed the family that she was going to start over at age 18. She then started telling everyone that she'd just turned 18. She figured since she'd made it that far she deserved to start over at any age she wanted! :p Most of the family got a kick out of it and thought it was cute, however the younger members (like her great-grandchildren) thought Grannie had gone around the bend for sure!

By the way, you are very welcome to join my breastfeeding group. Some of the best advice and support I've personally gotten has been from the over 65 set.

Enjoy your day!

Thanks for the invite, but I never made a good cow with any of my four kids. I swear each came with a full set of teeth, and, Lady~~~~ that hurt!! The other end hurt enough, and didn't need anymore.

Seriously, I know it's better for the babies, but I just never could bring myself to follow through.

My three younger brothers, and I ALL were breast-fed, though. I was nine, and a half lbs. when I was born, and the others all were a bit lower.

I'm sure it was an "owie"!

Of my four,#3 weighed the most at 8 lbs, 9 ozs, #1 was 8 lbs, 3/4 oz, and the other two just under 7 lbs. I put 30 lbs on with the third one, and at 5 feet 2 inches, I was a bit "round"!! LOL!

I'm glad those days are over.

Happy Birthday to the fellow July babies. I'm 7-6-71 and not ashamed of being over 29! Maybe that's because just last year I got asked if I was a Jr. or Sr. in high school.

That is just tooooooo funny. There were days when I felt like a milking machine, but never though of myself as a cow when breastfeeding, just when pregnant!

As for the baby size we went boy 8lbs 5oz, girl 7lbs, 15oz, girl 9lbs 7oz, boy 10lbs 3oz (and 21 1/2" long!) thank goodness that last one was an emergency c-section!!!!
