Question What's the Meaning of Your Name

Do you know the meaning of your name? Do you think it fits your personality?

Mine (Barbara Ann) means "gracious stranger." Gee, how nice is THAT.....could be worse. My parents almost named me "Beverly" which means "beaver field"

Lisa = consecrated to God
Alissa = noble and truthful
Alexa = defender of mankind
Kyle = crowned with laurels/a place where cattle graze

I guess I should have found out what Kyle meant before we named our son that. Cows and grazing don't sound too attractive. I can live with Alissa and Alexa's meanings though.

Thanks..

Lisa

Hey wait for me! I want in on this fun stuff too. How about me Jackie, my husband Russell and our daughter Kendra. You know what my husbands oldest daughter is named Jehmima. Out of the Book of Job in the Bible. She was his first born daughter the second time around. We call her Mima. She is just a love. Thanks.

Jacqueline = substitute
Jemima was not in my book
Kendra = water baby
Russell = redheaded

I don't have the best book in the world for this. I bet there's a website out there that tells all the names. Does anyone know??

Barb this is so funny this link was actually in my favorites.

My ISP sends a newsletter I think monthly, and this link was included my DDs and I spent about two hours, putting in everyone's name we could think of!!

Enjoy it!!
