Curves boasts itself on a 30 minute complete workout where you can work at your own level--plus it is all women!! The machines are set up in an oval and everyone does the workout "together". Once I established a routine time at my Curves, I got to know a lot of the women there and most of the ladies encourage each other to continue on. (Of course you will always have the few that think they are better than the rest).

It was very fun, but the thing that I really hated was that you have to pay a sign up fee and then sign a contract for a year. If you break the contract, you have to pay for the remaining months anyway. I think that if you pay a sign up fee, you should be able to pay a month at a time and walk away if you no longer want to participate. If you want to come back after that, you would have to pay the start up fee again.
