More information on activities at the Double JJ Ranch:

Spend the night in terror during the Haunted Ranch Weekends!

Rothbury, MI. – September, 2005 –The old barn doesn’t look so scary during the daylight hours at the Double JJ Ranch & Golf Resort. But as night falls on Main Street at the Back Forty Ranch, The Haunted Barn takes on a life of its own. A frightful, eerie life, complete with the “Jason Room,” the “Forever Hallway,” and the “Maze of Terror.” That’s just part of the fun that will take place during this year’s Halloween Scream, Friday and Saturday nights, September 30h through October 30th, plus Thursdays, October 20th & 27th and Sunday, October 30th. “Phobias 3-D” is designed to take thrill seekers to the edge with mind-boggling 3-D effects. The Panic Room gives a seven-minute adrenaline rush. There is also a Haunted Hayride that offers families a bump-in-the-night ride through the infamous Double JJ Haunted Forest.

An evening of frightful fun needn’t end in the parking lot. Not when a room, breakfast, and unlimited Haunted attractions are part of the Double JJ’s Haunted Ranch Weekend getaway special starting at $99 per person. The Haunted Package is available Friday and Saturday nights, September 30th through October 30th and includes one night’s lodging, breakfast, and unlimited Haunted attractions. Some restrictions apply.

The Scream Deal combo package is $25 for adults and $20 for kids under 12, which includes all four attractions. The Haunted Barn is not recommended for young children.

“The Rocky Horror Show” returns to the stage on October 1st

Rothbury, MI. – September, 2005 – It’s the season to walk on the wild side. The rock n roll party musical is back for its third season at the Double JJ Ranch & Golf Resort. And, it’s the only live production of Rocky Horror in West Michigan. Richard O’Brien’s “The Rocky Horror Show” is an unforgettable experience for audiences as they become as much a part of the show as the actors.

Jason Leyva, Director of Entertainment at Double JJ, is directing and acting in The Rocky Horror Show. “We’ve revamped the show with new lights, staging and cast members,” says Leyva and the Double JJ Cast is from all over the world. “Our audience just keeps growing,” said Leyva. “The show has become so popular that we are moving the performance to The Ranch Wagon Wheel.” “This environment allows us to amplify the visual effects and performances on stage and creates the perfect atmosphere for this production.”

Leyva’s productions are gaining more than audience attention. Bill Wade, owner of Great Lakes Theatrical Productions, signed on as a cast member, as well. Wade and Leyva are discussing future plans for further collaborations. Leyva carries more than fifteen years experience in the arts, including acting, directing, writing and producing many works across the nation.

The Double JJ is starting show nights off with “Scary-Oke Karaoke” at 9 pm and a costume contest at 10pm.

“The Rocky Horror Show” begins at 10:30pm on Saturday, October 1st. It will continue on Friday and Saturday nights, October, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22 and 28. The 2005 season will end with it’s last show on Sunday, October 30th Devil’s night. Tickets are $14 per person. Adults only.

The Rocky Horror Combo includes “The Rocky Horror Show,” plus all four Haunted attractions (The Haunted Barn, Haunted Hayride, Panic Room, and Phobias 3-D) for just $30.
