It's about the motherlode for AS information if you haven't already been there.

Lots of online info about childhood schizophrenia. Including physical conditions with similar symptoms. Here are just a couple:

If you do a general search on "childhood schizophrenia" you'll find some fascinating things, some depressing, some hopeful.

If there's a university teaching hospital where your granddaughter is, their neuro clinic most likely works with the psych clinic in tandem. In the private setting, on the other hand, you often get little more than doctors competing instead of working cooperatively.
