mince meat pie filling

Canned!! This can store on the pantry shelf . Freeze ok no more then 3 months in freezer

5 c cooked venison ( or beef)
2 1/2 c chopped suet
7 1/2 c chopped apples
3 c apple cider or apple juice
1/2 vinegar
1/2 lbs citron
1 c molasses
5 c white sugar
2 1/2 c raisins chopped fine
1 2/3 c raisins left whole
1 1/2 tlbs salt
Juice of 2 lemons
Juice of 2 oranges
1 tlbs mace
2 scant tsp each cinnamon
ground cloves
allspice
2 grated nutmegs
1 tsp almond extract
2 tlbs lemon extract
1 1/2 c brandy
3 c beef broth

Mix in order given. Simmer 1 1/2 hours Add brandy and shavings from rind of lemon and oranges. Bottle
