We just went to a wedding a couple weeks ago that fits into this catgegory.
It was a 10am ceremony with a brunch afterwards.
Instead of pricey hors d'ouerves there was a fruit and cheese table. Only 1 glass of champagne at each plate and for food yummy breakfast potatoes, blintzes, chix ala king, ham, eggs etc. whatever you would get a brunch.
The neatest thing though was the brides idea (she is a librarian). Each table had a different kids book on it. We were asked to write a note to the br & gr. about them, their special day, or some memory that they would be able to share with their children-when they have them. We had Green Eggs and Ham.
During the ring part could you include your dd's and present them also with a small ring. They are now part of this new family type thing too??
