Family Banquet Night

February 12th, 2013 posted by Beth Fisher

Beth Fisher and her family enjoy a banquet night. Below, Beth tells us how she developed this fun evening for her family. This is a new one for us, but our first night went well. It started because my mom had given my girls some fancy dress-up clothes to play in. They wanted to wear them “out”, but it really wasn’t appropriate. So, one night every other month, we have Family Banquet Night. It’s on a Saturday for us, but whatever works best is fine. We have everything in our large living room and kitchen spotless. We eat on the best China. We have at least a 4 course meal. After dinner, we go to the living room and socialize and dance together. It even gives my husband and I a chance to “dress up”. We’ve even put up a “disco ball” (actually a Christmas ornament shaped that way). The only rule that we have for dancing is that everyone has to dance with everyone else at least once. Hope you enjoy this as much as we have.
