This cute key ring is a great gift for your child’s teacher. Makes an ideal Valentine gift considering its heart shape. This can be made in different shapes too, and would also be great for Teacher Appreciation Week or a birthday present! Alternatively, you can skip the key ring step and glue a magnet on the back to display on her filing cabinet. Parental supervision is recommended
You will need
Wood Heart 3″x1/4″
Screw Eye-Brass Key Ring-
Brass Black Painty Pen
White Permanent Pen
Clear Acrylic Matte Sealer
Paints: – Country Red – Cadmium Yellow – White – Black

What you do
Base outer area of heart with Country Red. Base the center with black. Outline the center with White. Use Black pen to write 123’s and ABC’s in outer edge. Add dots of Yellow between 123’s and ABC’s. Write your own saying in center area. When all painting is dry, spray with a clear acrylic matte sealer. Make starter hole in top of heart. Screw in screw eye. Put on split key ring.
Note:
If you decide you would rather make a magnet or a pin, simply eliminate the last step and glue on a magnet or pin instead.
