This ant won’t be a pest! What a cute little craft that is easy enough for kids and looks cute, not creepy. This makes a great after school or weekend craft, or even a class project.

You will need:

4 inch Styrofoam Egg

3 inch Styrofoam Egg

1 inch Styrofoam Ball

4 brown or black Chenille Stems

Delta Ceramcoat Acrylic Paint (brown or black)

Foam Brush 2 – 8 mm

wiggle eyes

tacky glue

If you make this project

we’d love to see it! Just send your photos and comments to the editor and it may get published on our Facebook fan page !

What you do

// Paint styrofoam pieces brown or black. Let dry. Glue toothpick into large end of large egg. Glue other end into ball. Glue another toothpick into ball at a 45 degree angle then into bottom of large end of other egg.

Cut 3 of the chenille stems in half, bend 1/2 inch from end for foot, then bend again at 3 1/2″ for knee, glue ends into ball, three on each side.

Cut 4th chenille stem in thirds. Bend two 1/4″ from one end and glue other end in top of head. Glue wiggle eyes to middle of head on either side.
