Bottle Pumpkin
February 12th, 2013 posted by Dottie Bronsod
Kids will love putting these super easy pumpkins together. Make a whole bunch of them to decorate for a Halloween party or to set out on the porch!
You will need
empty 2 liter plastic bottle
orange acrylic craft paint
4-6 green chenille stems
4 large green silk leaves
paint brush
hot glue gun
acrylic sealer spray sand or kitty litter
If you make this project
we’d love to see it! Just send your photos and comments to the editor and it may get published on our Facebook fan page !
What you do
Wash and dry bottle completely. Add something heavy inside the bottle such as sand or kitty litter to keep them from tipping over. Paint entire surface with orange paint and let dry. When paint is dry, wrap chenille stems once around the neck of the bottle, hot glue in place. Make cork screw designs with the ends of the chenille stems by wrapping them around a pencil then sliding the pencil out. Hot glue leaves to the ends of the chenille stems.
Spray with acrylic sealer. If you would like to paint a face on your pumpkin as in the photo on the right, you can use one of these patterns .
