How Was Your School Day?
Improved Communication With Your Child

It's fine to ask your child in general terms about the day
went but experts say that it is also important to ask
questions detailed enough to elicit answers longer than one
word. Try these variations of, "How was school today?":

-- What is the most interesting thing that
you learned today?
-- What's your favorite subject right now?
-- Who is your favorite person to play with during recess?
-- What's the hardest part of the day for you?
-- re there any special projects you're working on
in class that you feel you need help with?

These questions require more specific answers and are likely
to promote better communication between you and your child.
