Artificial Turquoise

Peel a potato and cut into small 1/2 inch pieces. Cut into cubes and rectangles, or if you can, into small 1/2-inch spheres. Skewer the pieces on to a stick (like a barbecue stick or a thin wire stem) and let dry away from humidity very well for several days, 10 days is perfect! Paint the hard, dry beads with turquoise blue acrylic paint (a sky blue and blue-green color). Put some black into the crevices for an authentic look. Remove from the stick. Thread onto chains with beads or onto wire for earrings or bracelets. Wear your jewelry.
