Preparing Your Lawn for Winter

As you get ready for winter, you may want to prepare your
lawn as well. A few simple steps now will give you a lush
lawn in spring. Here's what you should do:

* Apply a granular, slow-release fertilizer to spur late-
season growth.

* Treat the lawn with a general weed killer to make sure
weed seeds don't survive the winter.

* To keep roots strong, water after end-of-season mowing.

Don't worry about bare spots in the lawn. You can tackle
those in the spring!
