Help Make Bedtime A Better Time

Begin using a quiet voice an hour or two before bedtime.
Encourage your children to do the same. Quieter, calmer
voices can set the tone for your bedtime routine.

At least 15 minutes before actual bedtime, let your kids
know that 'bedtime' is approaching.

Change into pajamas. Changing clothes helps with the
transition to bedtime.

A lullaby is a proven method of helping babies go to sleep.

Take a little time with each of your children when tucking
them in at night. Talk about the events of the day. Have
them share their 'highs' and 'lows'. This undivided attention
will make bedtime a 'special' time.
