How To Make Medical Decisions Easier On Your Famil

It's a good idea to write down your preferences regarding
medical care. Should you be unable to speak for yourself,
this record will make tough decisions easier on your family.
One idea is a living will. Make sure to:

1. Discuss your living will with family members.
2. Appoint a surrogate to act on your behalf.
3. Give your living will to your surrogate and your doctor.

You don't need an attorney to complete a living will, just
two witnesses. The form is widely available in stores and on
the Internet. If you can't find the paperwork, ask your
doctor.
