Save those veggies!
1. If you don't use a whole onion at a time, chop the rest of it up & put in a freezer bag & pop it in the freezer. Works great for spaghetti sauce, soups, stews or anything that is cooked. Next time you need some chopped up onion for your pot of soup, just take them from the freezer & add to your pot... they will thaw & cook up like fresh onion.
2. Do the same with green peppers.
3. Have left over corn, green beens, peas, etc? Mix them & put in freezer for home made veggie soup or stews. If they have a little butter on them from the other meal, it won't hurt & will help season your food.
