Reduce Household Chemicals - Better Family Health

To cut down on the amount of chemicals you use around the house, try going back to the basics. Use soap and water, baking soda and vinegar for as many household chores as you can. Have your family members remove their shoes before they come in from outside to reduce the amount of dirt and pollutants on shoes.

Does your bathroom have an exhaust fan? Make a habit of using it every time you shower, to cut down on moisture, which creates mold and mildew. Don't neglect any leaks in your ceiling or basement, as these can also feed mold and mildew problems.

If you burn wood in a fireplace, put in glass doors to keep the smoke from getting into the house. If you have a garden, try natural pesticides instead of chemical ones.
