How to Soothe Poison Ivy Itch

Calamine lotion is a good way for most people to relieve the discomfort caused by poison ivy. If calamine lotion doesn't work, or simply isn't available, try these alternatives:

* Mix together cornstarch, oatmeal and baking soda, and add water to form a paste. Apply directly to the rash.

* Make a paste of Epsom salts and water, and apply to affected area.

* Run clear, hot tap water over the affected areas. This will provide you with several hours of relief.

When poison ivy strikes, these natural remedies are sure to soothe the itch and relieve the uncomfortable pain.
