Make Skin Glow With a Home Facial Sauna

If you have greasy skin, steaming your face once a week, especially during summer months, is advisable. If your skin is dry, do this once every two weeks. For normal or combination skin, steam once every ten days.

Boil water in a pot and place your face over it so that the steam hits your skin. Spread a towel over your head to keep the steam from escaping. This facial sauna should last for about five minutes.

Facial saunas or steam baths open up pores and cleanse them, thereby giving the skin a healthy glow. After the steam, wash your face and then rub an ice cube over the skin to close the opened pores. Apply a moisturizer 15 minutes later when your skin has settled down.

If you have dry skin, add a few drops of almond or baby oil to the water. For combination skin, add a few rose petals.

Note: Don't indulge in a facial sauna if you have thread veins. The heat dilates the blood vessels in the skin, aggravating the condition.
