Snowman Kit

Click here for a printable version of this idea

Items needed to make One Snowman Kit:

8-10 Rocks (I spray paint ours black)

twigs (the children gather them from the playground area after a storm)

real or artificial carrot (for nose)

3-4' long felt pieces (the children cut the ends to make the fringe for the scarf)

man's old hat (from a thrift store or sometimes we make one from poster board)

plastic scoop from baby formula cans (may be painted if desired) for pipe

Place all items in a ziploc bag labeled SNOWMAN KIT with the instructions to: JUST ADD SNOW.

All the items needed to make a snowman are in one place, all you need is to wait for the snow.

"I own and direct a small daycare/preschool of 12 children ages 0-5 years. We teach spanish and sign language as well as the normal curriculum of letters, shapes, numbers, colors, body parts, community service, etc... We do most of these things through hands-on learning activities and crafts."
