FAMILYCORNER & MOMSMENU ARE LOOKING FOR YOUR KIDS AND THEIR RECIPES!

FamilyCorner.com & MomsMenu.com have teamed up with Crayola Crafty Cooking Kits to bring you this very special feature. We are looking for kids who enjoy cooking and want to share their recipes with everyone! If your submission is used, your child will receive a free Crayola Crafty Cooking Kit along with other fun prizes!

Check out our current column and what recipes kids from all over are sending our way!

HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOK FOR...

  • kids in the kitchen preparing all types of recipes, from chocolate chip cookies to spaghetti and meatballs
  • good quality photo of your child and their completed recipe
  • full recipe, ingredients, instructions, and credit if necessary (cookbook, magazine, etc)
  • any comments from our young cooks, such as ease of preparation, tools needed, special terms, etc

ANYONE CAN DO THIS!

Crayola Crafty Cooking KitsYou don't have to be a master chef to submit to this column. But remember, you must be under the age of 18! All kids from all backgrounds may send in their submissions. Any type of recipe may be submitted, not just desserts and snacks! Keep in mind, the purpose of this column is to demonstrate what recipes can be made by kids, in different age groups. Parents, for your child to be included, we do require these few things:
  1. Good quality photo of your child with their completed recipe. Remember, this photo will be published on the MomsMenu.com website for all to see. While we certainly don't expect your kids to be dressed in a suit and tie or fancy dress (in fact we discourage that, simply have them wear what they are comfortable in), we would like their hair to be combed and their faces wiped clean. We do reserve the right to reject submissions based on poor quality photos or extremely messy children!

  2. The recipe must be complete and understandable. Measurements must be in standard (not metric) form and must not use obscure measuring descriptions such as a "handful" of this and a "few shakes" of that. All recipes taken from cookbooks, magazines, books, and other publications must include full credit, including title, author and publisher.

  3. Your shipping address will be necessary so that if your submission is printed on our website, we can send you a Crayola Crafty Cooking Kit! These fun kits are great for family night, holidays, birthday parties and more.

  4. Your child's first name and their age is required, however, your last name will not be published on the website to protect your privacy. Your state of residence will be included, your city or town is optional and left to your discretion (i.e. Lisa from Connecticut).

Be sure to tell others about this fun column so their kids can get involved too!

YES, WE WANT TO PARTICIPATE!

If you and your child would like to become part of our new Crafty Kids Kitchen, please begin by submitting the required photo of your child with their completed recipe (below). In order to begin your submission, you must have a photo of your child and the completed recipe.

If you do not have a digital camera or a scanner and need your picture uploaded to the computer, you can mail your picture directly to FamilyCorner.com and we will send you back your photo through email in JPG format. Please contact Amanda if you need this done.

If you need some recipe ideas, don't forget to check out:
