H.O.M.E. Review: The World Almanac for Kids 2002
This has to be one of the hardest reviews I've ever done in my life. Every time I sit down to jot some notes, I get caught up reading all the cool information. There are even times when I can't find the book, because my son is reading it. Well, like any self-respecting mother, I'm not about to make him stop!
Handling
This book is extremely easy to navigate. The table of contents has a photo for each chapter, so even beginning readers can find what they're looking for. Color-coded chapters and bold page numbers make finding information a snap.
Overall Appearance
Bright, colorful, and kid-friendly, this book offers information in short snippets. No boring encyclopedia-style entries are found here. Chapters include many topics of interest to today's children, such as Animals, Movies & TV, Sports, Games, Numbers, and Computers.
