Leprechaun

Bring the luck of the Irish into your home with this adorable little Leprechaun. He can sit atop a shelf and greet your visitors, family, and friends.
You will need:
12" acrylic ball
5" styrofoam ball
1/2" wood mushroom button
5/8" doll eyes
Curly hair
Derby hat
Acrylic paints: flesh, green isle, adobe
3 pieces of Kelly felt - green Jute twine
6" x 12" piece of muslin
Black sharpie marker
18" piece of narrow green ribbon
1 sheet of Flesh fun foam
Polyfill
Glue gun & glue sticks

What you do
Paint hat Green Isle. It will take 2 or 3 coats. Paint 2 coats of flesh paint on styrofoam ball and mushroom. Pat the paint on so it gets pushed into the holes. Glue nose in center of face. Press eyes into face. Paint mouth adobe, dry brush cheeks and top of nose adobe. Use black Sharpie for eye lashes. Glue hair above face. Glue hat to top of head. Pop hanger off acrylic ball and glue bottom of head over hole pressing down firmly.
Cut hands from flesh fun foam, mark fingers with Sharpie (click HERE for pattern). Glue or sew a hem in each short side of muslin piece, then glue or sew sides. Stuff lightly with polyfill. Paint a green dollar sign on front of bag. Tie a piece of jute around top of bag.
Cut two sheets of felt in half lengthwise. Glue or sew long sides to form 4 tubes, stuff lightly with polyfill. Fold third piece of felt 4 inches up and place sole of shoe pattern on fold and cut shoes for both feet. Glue back and toe of shoe from fold up to ankle. Stuff lightly with polyfill. Glue one end of each leg into top of each shoe. Glue each hand in one end of each arm. Glue other end of leg to bottom of body. Cut one inch off one end of each arm in a half circle to resemble a shoulder. Glue to sides of body. Glue bag in hands and glue back of bag to body. Tie a jute bow on each ankle and wrist. Tie a small piece of jute around each knee. Tie green ribbon around neck.
