Why not take the time to make and send this cute basket of goodies to family or friends. It takes very little time to put together and in an adorable greeting that will be kept in the memory box.
What You Need:
colored cardstock (we used pale green)
coordinating paper to match cardstock (we choose a brown with green throughout)
brown cardstock
scrap beige cardstock
ribbon 1 or 2 colors (we used pink and green)
twine or thin string
beige cardstock
Easter egg stickers or cardstock to make your own.
Stickles™ glitter glue
foam dots
adhesive (we used a tape runner and glue dots)
Ink pad or ink
black marker
1. Make your card. Using the pale green cardstock cut it to 6" x 9". Fold card in half so you have a 6" x 4.5" work surface.
2. Cut your coordinating paper or cardstock to 5.5" x 4". Using a tape runner adhere to the front of the card centering it when you do.
3. Using brown cardstock cut out a 3" high basket shape or if you own a cricut machine use the doodle charms cartridge to cut a basket at 3". Ink the edges of your basket. Let dry.
4. Cut a piece of ribbon for the bottom of your basket about 4". Adhere tucking the loose ends around the back. I find if I run the ribbon through my Xyron 150 it works well to adhere.
5. Take your twine and adhere it to the back of your basket and then begin to wrap it around the handle. One you reach the other side cut it leaving enough to adhere the loose end to the back of the basket.
6. Using your choice of adhesives (I used a tape runner) adhere your basket to the front of your card making sure it is centered.
7. If using premade egg stickers you can glitz them up by using Stickles™. This like a very fine glitter glue. It comes in many colors. Once dry arrange your eggs in the basket. I used foam pop dots for 2 of the eggs so they would stand out some. I used a tape runner to adhere the other eggs.
8. Make a small bow from your choice of ribbon color (I used pink). Attach to the basket handle using glue dots.
9. With brown cardstock cut a sign shape. Repeat with a beige cardstock. Glue together. add some twine around the bottom and write the words Easter. Attach to your basket.
