What you do

Sculpting Instructions:
Cut bottom off largest foam ball to make a stable base for snowman. Insert and glue three toothpicks halfway into top of largest ball and halfway into medium ball to connect together. Repeat to connect medium ball to smallest ball, for body.

In sealable sandwich bag, mix two cups dry Celluclay® with one cup warm water (be sure to add drop of dish soap to water). Knead mixture like bread dough. If too dry, add a little water; if too wet, add a little Celluclay®.

Cover snowman with mixture. Shape carrot nose and three "coal" buttons from Celluclay® and press into place. Let snowman dry until no longer sticky to touch (may take a few hours).

To make vest, add more Celluclay® (about ¼-inch thick) around middle ball of snowman, as shown. Use stylus to carve into vest around edges and sleeve openings and to texture these areas. Make three ¼-inch balls and stick to vest front for buttons. Use stylus to add two holes to each button. Let dry completely.

Painting Instructions:
Paint snowman with White Wash. Paint nose and dry brush cheeks with Bright Orange. Dot eyes and paint mouth and buttons with Lamp Black. When dry, highlight eyes, mouth and buttons with White Wash. Paint vest with Baby Blue and binding and buttons with Sapphire. Add dots to button holes with Lamp Black. Lightly dry brush over binding with Baby Blue. Paint snowflake design on vest with White Wash.

Use large end of stylus to add dots around snowflakes. Paint Woodsie oval with White Wash. Outline oval with dots of Baby Blue. Paint words with Sapphire. When completely dry, spray snowman with 2-3 light coats of matte finish.

Finishing Touches:
Push tree branches into sides of snowman for arms. Cut a piece from fabric scrap for hat band and neck scarf. Glue in place. Glue hat on top of head.

Cut a piece of raffia or ribbon for a hanger and glue ends to back of oval. Hang sign from branch arm.

Tip: Use photo as a guide and follow manufacturer's instructions.

Use tip of paintbrush handle to make dots.

Enlarge patterns on copy machine as desired.

Working with Celluclay®:
To help mix, add one drop of liquid dish soap to water before adding water to dry Celluclay®.
Mix Celluclay® in a sealable sandwich bag to minimize dust.
When putting two pieces of Celluclay® together, always seal edges with the tip of a paintbrush handle.
If shrinking occurs during drying, just mix up a tiny amount of Celluclay® and push into cracks. Let dry, then paint.
Do not dispose of water used with Celluclay® down sink.
