we’d love to see it! Just send your photos and comments to the editor and it may get published on our Facebook fan page !
Step 1: To make your card cut a piece of cream carstock(or color you choose) into a 10 x 7 rectangle using your 12 inch trimmer. Fold in half so you now have a 5 by 7 inch card. This card will be 7 inches wide and 5 inches tall.
Make your hearts. You will need 3 of each size. You will need a 2 inch, 1 1/2 inch and 1 inch size heart for each leaf out of green cardstock. I made mine using a cricut machine and the Gearge and Basic shapes cartridge. If you don’t have this option make a template and use an exacto knife to cut them out.
Once they are cut out using silver ink, ink the outside edges of your hearts to give them some demension. Once they are dry you need to assemble each leaf. // Step 4: Once they are dry you need to assemble each leaf. I found using a zig pen was the easiest adhesive to use. Join 1 of each heart size to the other only at the top V. do this 3 times and you should now have 3 nested leafs. Set aside
Cut the stem from Gren cardstock. I free handed mine, it is approx 3 inches nlong and 1/4 inch thick. Tie a piece of green ribbon around the stem. Thread a charm through one end of the ribbon. Make a bow and tighten. Trim ends of your ribbon.
Cut a decorative strip of paper 1/2 x 7 inches long. Using an adhesive adhere this to the bottom of the card.
Cut 2 pieces of green fibers a little longer than 7 inches. Using an adhesive(I found a zip pen worked best) attach to the top and bottom of the decorative strip of paper. Trim if necessary.
Assemble your shamrock on the card, all 3 leaves and stem. Adhere to the front of your card.
Using your alphabet stickers add Luck of the Irish on the right hand side. If using die cuts use adhesive to adhere to the card front. I used the cricut machine to cut my letters. I used the Jasmine cartridge ovals cut on 1 inch and used the inside letters to get the 1/2 inch size. Your card is finished and ready for you to send off and start on the next one.
