Thanks! I did join hyster sisters since so many here recommended that. It's not FC, but it is a good site. They even had a "chat" Thursday night about the particular method of hysterectomy that I will have.

I am scheduled for January 8, and I will have a daVinci (robotic laparoscopic) hysterectomy. "Outpatient" surgery, shorter recovery time. The doctor spent a LOT of time with me and my husband explaining everything to us. I was really impressed with that. He asked lots of questions and answered all our questions and never acted like he was rushing us.

Next big thing--talking to my kids about it!

Barb, I was supposed to have the DaVinci robotic surgery, but had to be opened up instead. There is a lot of information on it. Just google it and all kinds of sites come up. My doctor highly recommended this method.
