Charlotte, you're a brave girl - lol! What did you end up with?

It's supposed to be chilly and rainy here today. It's so hard to believe it's only the beginning of September. Tonight we're having a potato/corn chowder and homemade bread from the bread machine.

Dh made steaks on the grill and a box of scalloped potatoes. When I got home I cleaned green beens and steamed them and added melted butter, garlic and onion powder and a little salt and pepper. Not to bad. He can cook he just gets in his lazy moods. Right now he is in one and I need to bring him out of it. DD#2's favorite meat is steak so she was thrilled to death.

Tonight was tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. As you can tell, I'm still home alone. Hubby comes home tomorrow - and I'll probably do Chop Suey for him then.

I have never been a Tomato soup person love tomatoes and in things just not the soup.
Tonite for us it is clean out fridge nite

Thursday night's dinner was

Chicken Cacciatore Pronto

1 Tbsp. KRAFT Light Zesty Italian Dressing

8 bone-in chicken thighs (1-1/2 lb.), skin removed


3 cloves garlic, minced


1 can (14-1/2 oz.) Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained


1/3 cup tomato paste


2 small red peppers, chopped


8 oz. (1/2 of 1-lb. pkg.) whole wheat spaghetti, uncooked


1/4 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese


1/2 cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese







HEATdressing in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook 10 min. or until chicken is lightly browned on both sides, turning occasionally.
ADDgarlic, tomatoes and tomato paste; mix well. Stir in peppers; cover. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 20 min. or until chicken is cooked through (165°F), stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, cook pasta as directed on package.
REMOVEskillet from heat. Add Parmesan cheese to chicken mixture; stir. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Let stand 5 min. until mozzarella cheese is melted. Serve chicken and sauce over hot cooked pasta.
