I'm making Gooeygom with salad on the side tonight.
Wed will be bbq sandwiches with the leftover brisket from last nights dinner out.

| | Roberta, what is Gooeygom? We're having smoked sausage, potatoes & gravy. Maybe have green beans for a green veggie. Quote: |

Gooeygom is a family "soup" which is basically fried hamburger, onions, bell peppers with tomatoes, corn, and garlic with salt and pepper. Beef broth can be added if there isn't enough liquid.

That sounds yummy - I decided to treat myself tonight even though I'm still by myself and make meat loaf patties with mushroom soup gravy, mashed potatoes and a salad using my fresh veggies from the garden. Then I can eat the leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

I think Roberta won a Chef for Gooeygom. The recipe is at that link.
Tonight we're having Hawaiian Chicken, jasmine rice, and fresh green beans.

Tonight is open house night at DS#1's junior high school, so I've got boneless chicken marinating in the fridge to grill on the Foreman, and baked potatoes cooking in the crockpot. I've never tried it before, so we'll see how it works!
~Crockpot Baked Potatoes~
Prick potatoes with fork and wrap in foil, then place in crockpot. Do NOT add water. A 5 quart crockpot will hold about 12. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours or on high 2 1/2 to 4 hours.

Tonight we are having Turkey Roll-ups cause I've got to use up the lunchmeat before it goes bad.
Turkey Roll-ups
1 lb. turkey slices (lunchmeat)
1 box prepared Stove Top stuffing
1 jar turkey gravy
Spoon stuffing on each slice of turkey and roll up. Place in greased 9 x 13 pan. Pour gravy over all. Bake 350 30-35 mins.
Works well also with roast beef and mashed pots. Great way to use up leftovers and it's most stuff people already have in the pantry.

Catwoman, we just had pots in the crock (that's what we call it) last week. For some reason thats the only way the family will eat baked pots! When DS was about 6 and we were at Bob Evans he asked the waitress if they fix their potatoes in the crock pot! Lol

Everybody's dinners sound so good tonight. I'm just throwing some burgers on the grill, cucumber salad and watermelon.
One of DH's coworkers gave him zucchini bread so I'll probably have that after dinner with a cup of tea.
